Referral thank you
Send a genuine thank you when a new client is referred deepening professional relationships.
When I receive a new client through a referral, I want to thank the person who referred them promptly and genuinely. This workflow helps me acknowledge referrals professionally and maintain strong relationships with my referral sources.
Follow these steps:
1. When a new client mentions they were referred by someone, pull both the new client's information and the referrer's contact information from my CRM and email history.
2. Draft a thank you email in my draft folder. Follow these rules:
- Keep the tone warm, genuine, and appreciative.
- Thank them specifically for the referral.
- Mention the new client by name (with their permission).
- Express that you'll take great care of them.
- Acknowledge the trust they've placed in you.
- Keep it personal and heartfelt, not transactional.
- Use the following example for inspiration:
