Use Quin's in-app chat to search your CRM, update records, draft emails, and get quick answers. Perfect for when you're at your desk and need detailed responses.

Use the Quin app's built-in chat to ask questions, search records, and handle tasks.

The in-app chat gives you a dedicated space to communicate with Quin while at your desk. This works well when you need detailed responses, want to review information on screen, or need to handle multiple requests in sequence.

How to use in-app chat

Type your question or request in the chat field and press Enter. Quin will respond with the information you need or confirm what actions were taken.

You can also use the icons in the chat field:

  • Microphone icon - Record a voice message instead of typing
  • Paperclip icon - Attach files or documents to your message
  • Beaker icon - Enter test mode to simulate interactions without affecting your actual data

Multi-tasking while Quin works
While Quin is processing your request, click Multi-task to start a new conversation without waiting. When Quin finishes, the button changes to Finish to close out that chat.

Starting new conversations
Click the new chat button on the left sidebar to start a fresh conversation. Quin doesn't save previous chat history to ensure it always pulls the most current information from your CRM and email.

When to use in-app chat

Searching for information
When you need to find contact details, meeting history, or CRM records, the in-app chat displays results clearly on screen.

Reviewing detailed responses
Questions that need longer answers or multiple pieces of information work better in chat where you can see everything at once.

Making adjustments
If you need to refine a draft email or update something Quin created, the visual interface makes editing easier.

What to expect

Quin processes your message and responds with confirmation of actions taken, the information you requested, or questions if additional details are needed. You'll see results appear in the chat window within seconds.

Common questions

What is test mode?
Test mode lets you try Quin's features without affecting your actual CRM data, emails, or other systems. Interactions in test mode are simulations only.

Can I send files in chat?
Yes. Click the paperclip icon to attach files or documents to your message.

Why doesn't Quin save chat history?
Quin references your CRM, email, and other systems for the most current information. Saving conversations could cause Quin to reference outdated chat details instead of your up-to-date records.

Can I use chat on my mobile device?
Yes. Access the Quin web app from your mobile browser to use chat on your phone or tablet.
