Before you begin
Connect your email account in Account Settings → Integrations. Email assistant requires email access to monitor incoming messages and draft responses in your voice.
Email assistant includes two features that work together to keep your communication moving.
Auto Replies
Quin drafts responses to incoming emails and saves them in your Drafts folder for review. You control which contacts trigger automatic replies, from anyone you've emailed in the past to only contacts assigned to you.
Drafts appear in your email client ready for you to review, edit if needed, and send when you're ready.
Auto Follow-ups
Quin tracks your sent emails and drafts follow-up messages when someone hasn't replied. Follow-ups appear in your Drafts folder with personalized reminders that keep conversations moving.
You can choose whether Quin creates follow-ups for everyone or just external contacts.

How to set up email assistant
- Go to Account Settings → Email Assistant
- Turn on Auto Replies or Auto Follow-ups (or both)
- Configure each feature's settings based on your needs
Each feature has its own settings where you can customize who receives automatic drafts and how Quin processes your emails.
What to expect
Once you've enabled email assistant features, Quin works automatically based on your settings. Auto Replies drafts responses to incoming emails, and Auto Follow-ups creates nudge email drafts for messages that haven't received replies. All drafts appear in your email Drafts folder for your review before sending.
Troubleshooting
My email isn't connecting
- Go to Account Settings → Integrations
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting your email account
- Make sure you've granted Quin permission to access your inbox
- Contact support if issues persist
Email assistant features aren't working
- Verify your email is connected in Account Settings → Integrations
- Check that the specific feature (Auto Replies or Auto Follow-ups) is turned on
- Confirm your settings match what you're trying to accomplish
- Review the individual feature pages for specific troubleshooting steps
