Zoom

Connect Quin with Zoom to automatically join meetings, capture key points, and create summaries. Quin handles meeting notes so you can focus on the conversation.

The Zoom integration allows Quin to automatically join your Zoom meetings, listen to conversations, and capture important moments without manual setup. When a Zoom meeting appears on your calendar, Quin joins at the start time and creates notes, action items, and follow-up drafts based on the discussion.

Before you begin

Make sure you have a calendar integration connected (Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, or Microsoft Exchange) so Quin can see your scheduled Zoom meetings.

How to set it up

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Click Add Integration
  3. Select Zoom from the list and click Connect
  4. Follow the prompts to authenticate your Zoom account
  5. Click Allow to grant Quin permission to join meetings

What to expect

After connecting Zoom, Quin automatically joins any Zoom meeting on your calendar at the scheduled start time. During the meeting, Quin listens for key decisions, action items, and important discussion points. When the meeting ends, Quin generates a summary with next steps and can draft follow-up emails or create CRM updates based on your Guidelines. All meeting content is processed only for notes and summaries within your account.

How Quin joins meetings

Quin joins Zoom meetings in two ways:

  • Automatically - When a Zoom meeting appears on your connected calendar, Quin joins at the start time
  • Manually - You can send Quin a Zoom meeting link directly in chat or Meeting notetaker > Video call, and Quin joins immediately

Quin appears as a participant in the meeting, visible to all attendees. You can control whether Quin joins specific meetings through your Meeting Assistant settings.

Managing Quin in Zoom meetings

If you need to remove Quin from a meeting that's already in progress, you can remove it like any other participant through Zoom's participant list. To prevent Quin from joining future meetings, adjust your Meeting Assistant settings or update your Guidelines with instructions like "Never join internal team standups."

Disconnecting Zoom

If you need to disconnect Zoom:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Find the Zoom integration
  3. Click Disconnect
  4. Confirm the disconnection

Disconnecting stops Quin from joining future Zoom meetings. Meeting notes already captured remain in your account.

  • Confirm the meeting includes a Zoom link in the calendar event.
  • Make sure Meeting Assistant is turned on.
  • You can send Quin a Zoom meeting link directly in chat or Meeting notetaker > Video call, and Quin joins immediately

Quin joined a meeting I didn't want it in

  • Adjust your Meeting Assistant settings to control when Quin joins automatically.
  • Update your Guidelines to specify which meetings Quin should skip.
  • Remove Quin from the meeting through Zoom's participant list if it's already in progress.

Other participants can't see or hear Quin

  • Quin appears as a silent participant and doesn't speak during meetings.
  • Quin is visible in the participant list to all attendees.
  • Some Zoom accounts may have settings that prevent bots from joining. Check with your Zoom administrator.

Meeting notes are missing information
