Salesforce
Connect Quin with Salesforce to automatically update contact records, sync meeting notes, and surface client details. Keep your CRM current without manual data entry.
The Salesforce integration connects your customer relationship management platform with Quin, automatically syncing contact information and meeting notes between both systems. When you mention a contact or company during a meeting, Quin pulls relevant details from Salesforce and updates the record with new notes, tasks, and interactions without manual data entry.
How to set it up
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Click Add Integration
- Select Salesforce from the list and click Connect
- Follow the authentication prompts to connect your Salesforce account
- Review the requested access permissions (Quin needs permission to read and write records)
- Click Allow to grant Quin access
The integration will appear as "Active" on your Integrations page once connected.
Configuring Salesforce objects and fields
After connecting Salesforce, you can customize which objects and fields Quin has access to:
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Click on the Salesforce integration
- Review the pre-selected objects and fields (Quin selects commonly used ones by default)
- Add or remove objects based on your needs
- Select specific fields within each object that Quin should read or update
- Click Save to apply your changes
You can adjust these settings at any time to control which Salesforce data Quin can access.
What to expect
After connecting Salesforce, Quin automatically syncs contact information and updates records based on your conversations and meetings. When you mention a contact or company, Quin identifies the matching record in Salesforce and can update it with meeting notes, tasks, or follow-up information based on your Guidelines.
Examples of what Quin does:
- If you say "Spoke to Sarah Chen from Acme Corp about Q3 budget," Quin finds Sarah's record in Salesforce and adds the note
- When you ask "What did I last talk to Daniel Lee about?" Quin pulls Daniel's latest activity from Salesforce
- After a meeting ends, Quin updates the contact record with meeting notes and next steps automatically
How Quin matches contacts
Quin identifies Salesforce contacts by matching names, email addresses, and company names mentioned in conversations or meetings. When Quin finds a match, it retrieves relevant information like recent interactions, opportunity status, and contact details to provide context during your conversations. Updates flow back to Salesforce automatically after meetings conclude.
Customizing CRM updates
You can control what information Quin adds to Salesforce through Guidelines. Provide instructions like "Always update the 'Last Activity Date' field after client calls" or "Always tag all enterprise opportunities with 'high-priority' in Salesforce." Guidelines help Quin organize information according to your sales workflow and record structure.
Disconnecting Salesforce
If you need to disconnect Salesforce:
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Find the Salesforce integration
- Click Disconnect
- Confirm the disconnection
Disconnecting stops all future syncing between Quin and Salesforce. Contact records and notes already in Salesforce remain there but won't receive further updates from Quin.
Troubleshooting
Contact records aren't being updated in Salesforce
- Verify the Salesforce integration shows as "Active" in Settings > Integrations.
- Check that the objects and fields Quin needs to update are selected in your Salesforce integration settings.
- Confirm you have permission to edit those records and fields in Salesforce.

Quin can't find a contact I mentioned
- Verify the contact exists in your Salesforce account with the name or email you mentioned.
- Check that name spellings match exactly between your conversation and the Salesforce record.
- Ensure the Contact object is enabled in your Salesforce integration settings.
- Try using the contact's email address or company name for more accurate matching.
Updates are going to the wrong contact record
- Multiple contacts with similar names can cause matching issues. Use full names or email addresses for clarity.
- Review the contact record in Salesforce to ensure it doesn't have duplicate entries.
- Update your Guidelines to specify how Quin should handle contacts with similar names.
Meeting notes are missing fields I need in Salesforce
- Go to Settings > Integrations and click on Salesforce to verify those fields are selected.
- Check your Guidelines to specify which fields Quin should update.
- Verify you have permission to edit those specific fields in Salesforce.
- Some custom fields may require additional configuration in Salesforce to accept updates from integrations.
