Troubleshooting integrations
Solve common integration problems with Quin. Fix authorization errors, sync issues, and connection problems with your CRM, calendar, and communication tools.
If you're experiencing issues with your Quin integrations, this guide walks you through the most common problems and their solutions. Most integration issues can be resolved by reconnecting your account or checking permissions.
Common integration problems
An integration shows "Disconnected" but I've connected it before
- The integration may have lost authorization. Go to Settings > Integrations, click the integration name, and reconnect your account.
- Check if your password changed recently for that service, which can break the connection.
- Verify that you haven't revoked Quin's access in the connected app's security settings.
An integration shows "Connecting" for a long time
- Refresh your browser to see if the status updates.
- Wait 5 minutes, as some integrations take time to fully authenticate.
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration if the status hasn't changed after 5 minutes.
- Clear your browser cache and try again.
- Contact support at help@heyquin.io if the issue persists.
I'm getting an authorization error when connecting
- Make sure you're logged into the correct account for the service you're connecting.
- Check that you have admin or appropriate permissions for that tool.
- Try using an incognito or private browser window to rule out browser extension conflicts.
- Disable any ad blockers or privacy extensions temporarily during setup.
Changes in my CRM aren't appearing in Quin
- Check your integration settings to confirm which data fields are syncing.
- Some integrations sync on a schedule rather than instantly. Allow 5-10 minutes for updates to appear.
- Verify you have appropriate permissions in the connected tool to view and edit the records.
- Make sure the records you're updating are in a format Quin can sync (for example, some custom fields may not sync).
Tasks aren't being created in my task management app
- Confirm the integration is connected by checking Settings > Integrations.
- Verify that Quin has permission to create tasks in your task management tool.
- Check your [Guidelines] to ensure you've instructed Quin to create tasks from meetings.
- Some task apps require you to specify a default project or workspace for new tasks.
Quin isn't joining my scheduled meetings
- Make sure your calendar integration is connected under Settings > Integrations.
- Verify that the meeting includes a video conferencing link (Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams).
- Check that Meeting assistant > Notetaker is turned on and configured properly.
- Confirm the meeting is on a calendar that's connected to Quin, not a secondary calendar.
Meeting notes aren't syncing to my CRM
- Verify both your meeting platform integration and CRM integration are connected.
- Check that the contacts in the meeting exist in your CRM.
- Confirm you have permission to edit those contact records in your CRM.
- Review your Guidelines to ensure you've instructed Quin to update your CRM properly.
Email drafts aren't appearing in my inbox
- Confirm your email integration (Gmail or Outlook) is connected.
- Check that Email assistant is turned on in your settings.
- Verify you've given Quin permission to create drafts in your email account.
- Look in your Drafts folder, as emails appear there rather than your inbox.
I can't find an integration I need
- Some integrations are being added regularly. Contact support at help@heyquin.io to request a new integration.
- Check if there's an alternative integration that works with your tool (for example, Google Calendar works with most calendar apps).
An integration disconnected on its own
- Your account password may have changed, requiring reauthorization.
- The connected service may have updated its security settings or API.
- You or someone with admin access may have revoked Quin's permissions in the connected app.
- Go to Settings > Integrations and reconnect the integration.
Data is syncing to the wrong account
- Disconnect the integration from Settings > Integrations.
- Log out of the incorrect account in your browser.
- Log into the correct account.
- Reconnect the integration in Quin and authorize the correct account.
Reconnecting an integration
If you're experiencing ongoing issues with an integration, try these steps:
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Find the problematic integration
- Click Disconnect
- Wait 30 seconds
- Click the integration again to reconnect
- Follow the authentication prompts
- Review and accept all permissions
Checking permissions
Many integration issues stem from insufficient permissions. To check permissions:
- Log into the connected service (CRM, calendar, etc.)
- Go to that service's security or connected apps settings
- Find Quin in the list of connected applications
- Verify Quin has the necessary permissions (read, write, create)
- If permissions look incorrect, revoke access and reconnect from Quin
