Nutshell
The Nutshell integration connects your CRM with Quin, automatically syncing contacts, companies, leads, activities, tasks, and notes between both systems. When you mention a contact during a meeting or conversation, Quin finds the matching Nutshell record and updates it with notes and follow-up tasks based on your Guidelines. Invoices and quotes are available for read-only reference.
How to set it up
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Click Add Integration
- Select Nutshell from the list and click Connect
- Follow the OAuth prompts and authorize Quin to access your Nutshell account
- Review the requested permissions and click Allow
The integration will appear as "Active" on your Integrations page once connected.
What to expect
After connecting Nutshell, Quin automatically updates contact and company records, logs meeting notes, and creates tasks based on your conversations and meetings. When you mention a contact or lead, Quin finds the matching record in Nutshell and can update it with notes, activities, or follow-up tasks. You can also ask Quin to look up an invoice or quote for reference during a conversation — Quin can read that data but cannot modify it.

- Move opportunities through your pipeline after sales calls
- Create and track cases from conversations and follow-ups
- Add tasks so nothing slips through the cracks
- Answer questions about any contact or deal using live Nutshell data
Customizing CRM updates
You can control what information Quin adds to Nutshell through Guidelines. Guidelines are instructions that tell Quin how to process your meetings, like "Always log an activity after every sales call" or "Update the lead stage after client check-ins." Quin follows these instructions automatically after each meeting ends.
Troubleshooting
Contact records aren't being updated in Nutshell
- Verify the Nutshell integration shows as "Active" in Settings > Integrations
- Confirm your Guidelines include instructions to update Nutshell after meetings
- Make sure the contact exists in Nutshell — Quin can update existing records or create new ones
Quin can't find a contact or lead I mentioned
- Verify the record exists in Nutshell with the name or email you used
- Try using the contact's email address or company name for more accurate matching
- Check for duplicate records in Nutshell that may be causing matching conflicts
Quin said it updated an invoice or quote but nothing changed
- Invoices and quotes in Nutshell are read-only through this integration — Quin can retrieve them for reference but cannot create or modify them
The integration won't connect
- Make sure you have admin permissions in your Nutshell account
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting from Settings > Integrations
