Quin is saying it did something it didn't
Fix issues where Quin reports sending emails, creating tasks, or updating your CRM but the actions didn't actually complete. Learn how to troubleshoot false confirmations.
Sometimes Quin confirms completing an action, but the result doesn't appear in your email, CRM, or task manager. This usually happens due to sync delays, permission issues, or integration problems.
Before you begin
Make sure your integrations are connected in Settings > Integrations. Most "false completion" issues occur because an integration disconnected without showing an error.
Troubleshooting
Quin says it sent an email, but it's not in my sent folder
- Check your email integration is connected in Settings > Integrations
- Look in your email's Drafts folder - the email may be saved there if it failed to send
- Verify the recipient email address was correct in your conversation with Quin
- Check your email account's sent folder directly (not through Quin) in case there's a display delay
Quin says it created a task, but I don't see it
- Verify your task manager integration (Google Tasks, Asana, etc.) is connected
- Check the correct project or list - Quin may have created it in a default location
- Look for the task in your task manager directly, as sync can take 1-2 minutes
- Confirm you're viewing tasks assigned to you if you specified an assignee
Quin says it updated the CRM, but I don't see the changes
- Check your CRM integration is connected in Settings > Integrations
- Look for the contact or deal in your CRM directly - updates can take 2-3 minutes to sync
- Verify you have permission to edit that record in your CRM
- Check if the update went to a different field than expected
Quin says it scheduled a meeting, but it's not on my calendar
- Verify your calendar integration is connected in Settings > Integrations
- Check all your connected calendars - the meeting may be on a different calendar
- Look for a calendar invitation in your email inbox that you need to accept
- Confirm the meeting wasn't scheduled for the past (Quin won't create past events)
Quin confirms actions immediately but they never complete
- Disconnect and reconnect the affected integration in Settings > Integrations
- Check that you granted all required permissions during integration setup
- Verify your CRM or tool account is active and not experiencing issues
- Try manually creating a test item in the tool to confirm it's working
What to expect
After fixing integration or permission issues, Quin's actions should complete within 1-3 minutes. If you see confirmation messages but actions still aren't completing after following these steps, your integration may need to be reconfigured.
Preventing this issue
Check your integration status regularly in Settings > Integrations. Quin will usually show a warning icon if an integration is disconnected, but occasionally the connection can fail silently. If you notice this pattern happening frequently with one integration, try disconnecting and reconnecting it completely. If this still does not resolve the issue, contact support for further assistance.
