Connecting Airtable to Quin lets you locate a base, check its table structure, and add or update records without leaving your conversation.

Before you begin

You need an active Airtable account with permission to connect third-party integrations.

How to set it up

Go to Settings > Integrations
Click Add Integration
Select Airtable from the list
Click Connect and sign in to your Airtable account
Select the bases you want Quin to access
Click Allow access to complete the connection

Your Airtable integration will now appear as connected in your Integrations page.

What to expect

After connecting Airtable, Quin can find a base by name, check its tables and field schema, and search, add, or update records based on your conversations. You can ask Quin to log a new record, update a field, find a record by name, or attach a file, and Quin handles it without you opening Airtable. Quin checks a table's field schema before creating or updating records, so new data matches your existing structure.

How it works

Quin has access to three types of Airtable tools.

Base tools — Quin can find bases and retrieve a base along with its tables.

Table tools — Quin can find tables within a base and retrieve a table's field schema. Quin checks this before creating or updating records.

Record tools — Quin can search, retrieve, create, update, and delete records, add comments, and attach files.

Troubleshooting

Quin can't find a base I know exists

Check that the base is shared with the Quin integration in Airtable's connection settings
Try giving Quin the exact base name
Verify the integration is still connected in Settings > Integrations

Quin isn't updating the right field or record

Tell Quin the exact field name or a value that uniquely identifies the record
If the base has multiple tables, specify which table you mean
Try rephrasing your request with more detail if Quin can't match the right record

Updates aren't appearing in Airtable

Refresh your Airtable base to see the latest changes
Confirm the integration shows as connected in Settings > Integrations
Check that the base you're working with is shared with the Quin integration
