Connecting Insightly to Quin automatically syncs your contacts, leads, and opportunities with your conversations. You can ask Quin questions about contacts, create tasks, and update records without leaving your workflow.
Before you begin
You need an active Insightly account with permission to install integrations.
How to set it up
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Click Add Integration
- Select Insightly from the list
- Click Connect and sign in to your Insightly account
- Review the permissions Quin requests (read and write access to contacts, leads, opportunities, and tasks)
- Click Authorize to complete the connection
Your Insightly integration will now appear as active in your Integrations page.
What to expect
After connecting Insightly, Quin automatically syncs contact and record information between your CRM and conversations. When you mention a contact, lead, or organization in chat, Quin finds the matching Insightly record and updates it with your notes. You can ask Quin questions like "What did I last discuss with Sarah?" and get instant answers from your CRM without opening Insightly. After meetings, Quin attaches notes and next steps to the relevant records automatically.
How it works
Quin keeps your Insightly data synchronized in real-time across these record types:
Contacts and organizations — When you mention a person or company, Quin finds the matching record in Insightly and updates it with notes, outcomes, or details from your conversation.
Leads and opportunities — Quin can create and update lead and opportunity records based on what you discuss, keeping your pipeline current without manual entry.
Tasks — Follow-up tasks and reminders you create through Quin sync to Insightly as tasks on the relevant contact or opportunity records.
Meeting notes — When Quin captures notes from a meeting, it automatically attaches them to the relevant records in Insightly.
Managing the integration
To disconnect Insightly:
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Find the Insightly integration
- Click Disconnect
- Confirm to stop syncing
Disconnecting stops all future syncing between Quin and Insightly. Existing data in both systems remains unchanged.
Troubleshooting
Quin can't find a contact I know exists in Insightly
- Check that the contact name or organization name matches exactly in Insightly
- Verify the integration is still connected in Settings > Integrations
- Try using the contact's email address instead of their name
Meeting notes aren't appearing in Insightly
- Confirm the integration shows as connected in Settings > Integrations
- Check that you mentioned the contact's name or organization during the conversation
- Verify you have write permissions for contacts in your Insightly account
Tasks or opportunities aren't syncing
- Confirm your [Guidelines] include relevant instructions for how Quin should handle tasks and opportunities
- Check that your Insightly account has the required permissions to allow third-party integrations to create and edit records
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration
