Notion
Connect Notion to Quin to search pages, create and update database items, add comments, and manage your workspace—all from chat.
Connecting Notion to Quin lets you search your workspace, create and update pages and database items, and add comments without leaving your conversation.
Before you begin
You need an active Notion account with permission to connect third-party integrations.
How to set it up
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Click Add Integration
- Select Notion from the list
- Click Connect and sign in to your Notion account
- Select the pages and databases you want Quin to access
- Click Allow access to complete the connection
Your Notion integration will now appear as connected in your Integrations page.
What to expect
After connecting Notion, Quin can search across your workspace, pull up pages by name or content, and create or update database items based on your conversations. You can ask Quin to find a page, add a meeting note to a database, update a property, or leave a comment — and Quin handles it without you switching apps. Quin can also attach files to pages using a URL.
How it works
Quin has access to two types of Notion tools:
Database tools — Quin can search for databases by name and retrieve their full property schema. This lets Quin understand the structure of a database before creating or filtering items.
Page tools — Quin can search, retrieve, create, update, and archive pages and database items. Quin can also add comments, reply to discussion threads, and attach files from a URL.
Troubleshooting
Quin can't find a page I know exists
- Check that the page is shared with the Quin integration in Notion's connection settings
- Try searching by a keyword that appears in the page title or body
- Verify the integration is still connected in Settings > Integrations
Quin isn't creating items in the right database
- Tell Quin the exact database name when making your request
- If the database has required properties, Quin may need to retrieve the schema first — try rephrasing your request with more detail
Updates aren't appearing in Notion
- Refresh your Notion page to see the latest changes
- Confirm the integration shows as connected in Settings > Integrations
- Check that the pages or databases you're working with are shared with the Quin integration
