Fathom

Connect Fathom to Quin to search your meeting transcripts and pull up past conversations directly from chat.

Before you begin

You need an active Fathom account with a connected API key. The Fathom integration requires a valid API key to authenticate — you can generate one in your Fathom account settings.

How to set it up

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Click Add Integration
  3. Select Fathom from the list
  4. Enter your Fathom API key and click Connect

Your Fathom integration will now appear as connected on your Integrations page.

What to expect

After connecting Fathom, Quin can search your transcript library by keyword, date range, meeting organizer, or participant. You can ask Quin to find a specific conversation, surface discussions about a particular topic, or retrieve a full transcript by Fathom recording ID. Fathom access is read-only — Quin can search and retrieve transcripts but cannot create, edit, or delete meetings or recordings.

How it works

Quin has access to one type of Fathom tool:

Transcript tools — Quin can search your transcript library using keywords (matched against meeting titles and transcript text), date ranges, organizer email, or participant email. Quin can also load a full transcript directly using a Fathom recording ID.

Troubleshooting

Quin can't find a transcript I know exists

  • Try searching by a keyword that appears in the meeting title or a specific phrase from the conversation
  • Narrow your search with a date range, organizer email, or participant email
  • Verify the integration is still connected in Settings > Integrations

The integration won't connect

  • Check that the API key is correct and was copied in full from your Fathom account
  • Confirm your Fathom plan includes API access
  • Try generating a new API key in Fathom and reconnecting

Transcript content isn't showing up as expected

  • Fathom only returns transcripts that have been fully processed — recordings still in progress won't appear
  • If a meeting is missing, check whether it was recorded and transcribed in Fathom before asking Quin to find it
