Smartsheet

Connect Smartsheet to Quin to find sheets, search and filter rows, and create or update data directly from chat. Keep your sheets current without manual entry.

Connecting Smartsheet to Quin lets you locate a sheet, check its column structure, and add or update rows without leaving your conversation.

Before you begin

You need an active Smartsheet account with permission to generate API tokens.

How to set it up

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Click Add Integration
  3. Select Smartsheet from the list
  4. Enter your Smartsheet API key when prompted
  5. Click Connect to complete the connection

Your Smartsheet integration will now appear as connected in your Integrations page.

What to expect

After connecting Smartsheet, Quin can find a sheet by name, retrieve its column schema, and search, add, or update rows based on your conversations. You can ask Quin to log a new row, update a cell value, filter for a specific record, or add a column — and Quin handles it without you opening Smartsheet. Quin checks a sheet’s column structure before adding data, so new rows line up with your existing layout.

How it works

Quin has access to two types of Smartsheet tools.

Sheet tools — Quin can search for sheets by name and retrieve their full column schema, including column names and types.

Row tools — Quin can search and filter rows, retrieve, create, update, and delete them.

Troubleshooting

Quin can’t find a sheet I know exists

  • Check that the sheet name you’re using matches exactly what’s in Smartsheet
  • Try giving Quin the exact sheet name rather than a partial name
  • Verify the integration is still connected in Settings > Integrations

Quin isn’t updating the right row or column

  • Tell Quin the exact column name or a value that uniquely identifies the row
  • Try rephrasing your request with more detail if Quin can’t match the right row
  • Confirm the column name in Smartsheet matches what you’re describing

Updates aren’t appearing in the sheet

  • Refresh the sheet in Smartsheet to see the latest changes
  • Confirm the integration shows as connected in Settings > Integrations
  • Check that your API key is still valid and hasn’t been revoked in Smartsheet

The connection shows as disconnected

  • Go to Settings > Integrations and reconnect Smartsheet
  • Generate a new API key in Smartsheet if the existing one has expired or been revoked
