Connect Microsoft OneDrive to Quin to search, access, and manage your files directly from chat — without switching apps.

Connect Microsoft OneDrive to Quin to search, access, and manage your files directly from chat. Ask Quin to find documents, create files, organize folders, and more without leaving your workflow.

Connecting OneDrive to Quin gives you instant access to your files from any conversation. You can ask Quin to locate documents, save new files, and keep your folders organized — all without opening OneDrive.

Before you begin

You need an active Microsoft account with access to OneDrive.

How to set it up

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Click Add Integration
  3. Select Microsoft OneDrive from the list
  4. Click Connect and sign in to your Microsoft account
  5. Review the permissions Quin requests (read and write files and folders)
  6. Click Authorize to complete the connection

Your Microsoft OneDrive integration will now appear as Active in your Integrations page.

What to expect

After connecting OneDrive, Quin can search your files by name or content, download documents to read or analyze them in chat, and create or upload new files directly to your folders. You can ask Quin things like "Find the Q3 report in my OneDrive" or "Save this summary to my Client Files folder" and Quin handles it without you switching apps.

Examples of what Quin does:

  • If you ask "Find the contract we sent Acme last month," Quin searches your OneDrive by name or content and returns the file
  • When you say "Save this meeting summary to my Projects folder," Quin creates the file and places it in the right location
  • If you need to review a document, Quin can download and read it so you can ask questions about its contents

How it works

Quin can work with both your files and folders in OneDrive.

File actions — Quin can search, download, create, rename, copy, move, and delete files in your OneDrive. Deletions require your explicit confirmation before Quin proceeds.

Folder actions — Quin can search, create, rename, copy, move, and delete folders. When creating new folders, Quin checks for existing ones first to avoid duplicates.

Managing the integration

To disconnect Microsoft OneDrive:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Find the Microsoft OneDrive integration
  3. Click Disconnect
  4. Confirm to stop syncing

Disconnecting stops Quin from accessing your OneDrive. Existing files and folders in OneDrive remain unchanged.

Troubleshooting

Quin can't find a file I know exists in OneDrive

  • Check that the file name matches what's stored in OneDrive
  • Try searching by a keyword from the file's content instead of the exact name
  • Verify the integration is still connected in Settings > Integrations

Quin isn't saving files to the right folder

  • Try specifying the folder name more precisely when making your request
  • If the folder name is ambiguous, ask Quin to list folders first to confirm the right one
  • Check that you have write permissions for that folder in OneDrive

Quin won't delete a file

  • Deletions require your explicit confirmation — make sure you've confirmed the action when prompted
  • Verify the file name or location is correct before confirming

The integration disconnected unexpectedly

  • This can happen if your Microsoft session expired — go to Settings > Integrations and reconnect
  • Make sure your Microsoft account still has OneDrive access enabled
