Mailchimp
Connect Mailchimp to Quin to search and manage lists, add or update subscribers, apply tags, and keep your audience data current without switching apps.
Connect your Mailchimp account to let Quin search lists, manage subscribers, and keep your audience data up to date. You can add contacts, apply tags, check subscription status, and create new lists directly through conversation.
How to set it up
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Find Mailchimp and click Connect
- Sign in to your Mailchimp account when prompted
- Review the permissions Quin is requesting
- Click Allow to authorize the connection
After connecting, Quin can search your lists, manage subscribers, and update audience data on request.
What to expect
Once Mailchimp is connected, you can ask Quin to look up subscribers by name or email, check their status, or see their recent activity like opens and clicks. Quin can add new members to a list, update existing contact fields, apply or remove tags, and archive subscribers when needed. You can also ask Quin to search your lists or create a new audience. Members always belong to a specific list, so Quin will ask which list to use if you don't specify one. Any changes Quin makes to your Mailchimp data only happen when you explicitly request them.
Troubleshooting
Quin can't find a subscriber I know exists
- Confirm the contact belongs to the list you're referencing — members must be searched within a specific list
- Try searching by email address rather than name for more precise results
- Check that the subscriber's status isn't cleaned or archived, which may affect search visibility
Quin added a contact but they're not appearing in Mailchimp
- New members may take a moment to appear — wait a few seconds and check again
- Verify the list name or ID you referenced is correct
- Go to Integrations and reconnect Mailchimp if the issue persists
Tags aren't being applied or removed
- Confirm the tag name is spelled correctly — Quin creates new tags automatically if the name doesn't match an existing one
- Check that you're referencing the correct list, as tags are list-specific
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting Mailchimp from Integrations
The connection shows as disconnected
- Go to Integrations and reconnect Mailchimp
- Check that you haven't revoked Quin's access in your Mailchimp account settings
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration
