Freshsales

Connect Freshsales to Quin to log meeting notes, create tasks, and update contacts, accounts, and deals automatically after every call.

Quin connects to Freshsales so your meeting notes, tasks, and CRM updates happen automatically. After a call, Quin can update contact and account records, log notes, and create follow-up tasks without any manual data entry.

Before you begin

You need admin access to your Freshsales account to generate an API key. You'll also need your Freshsales subdomain, the part of your Freshsales URL before ".myfreshworks.com".

How to set it up

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Find Freshsales and select Connect.
  3. Enter your Freshsales subdomain (the part of your Freshsales URL before ".myfreshworks.com").
  4. Enter your Freshsales API key. You can generate one from your Freshsales profile settings under API Settings.
  5. Select Save to complete the connection.

What to expect

Once connected, Quin can read and update your Freshsales accounts, contacts, deals, activities, appointments, tasks, notes, and files directly from your meetings. If a contact commits to a next step during a call, Quin can log that as a task assigned to the right owner, or add a note to the contact or deal record summarizing what was discussed. Freshsales CPQ documents and marketing lists are also accessible, so Quin can reference active proposals and add contacts to campaign lists when asked.

Managing your Freshsales connection

To disconnect Freshsales at any time, go to Settings > Integrations and select Disconnect next to Freshsales. Disconnecting stops Quin from reading or writing to your Freshsales data, but doesn't affect records already created.

Troubleshooting

Quin can't connect to Freshsales

  • Confirm the subdomain matches exactly what appears in your Freshsales URL, with no "https://" or ".myfreshworks.com" included
  • Regenerate your API key in Freshsales and re-enter it in Quin
  • Confirm your Freshsales user has admin or API access permissions

Quin isn't finding a contact or account

  • Confirm the contact or account already exists in Freshsales, since Quin doesn't create new accounts automatically
  • Try searching by the exact name or email used in the meeting invite

Notes or tasks aren't appearing on the right record

  • Confirm the meeting attendee's email matches the contact record in Freshsales
  • Check that the deal or account is linked to the contact in Freshsales, since Quin uses that link to route updates
