Google Sheets
Connect Google Sheets to Quin to find spreadsheets, search rows, and create or update data directly from chat. Keep your sheets current without manual entry.
Connecting Google Sheets to Quin lets you locate a spreadsheet, check its structure, and add or update rows without leaving your conversation.
Before you begin
You need an active Google account with permission to connect third-party integrations.
How to set it up
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Click Add Integration
- Select Google Sheets from the list
- Click Connect and sign in to your Google account
- Select the spreadsheets you want Quin to access
- Click Allow access to complete the connection
Your Google Sheets integration will now appear as connected in your Integrations page.
What to expect
After connecting Google Sheets, Quin can find a spreadsheet by name, check its worksheets and column headers, and search, add, or update rows based on your conversations. You can ask Quin to log a new row, update a value, filter for a specific record, or add a new column, and Quin handles it without you opening the spreadsheet. Quin checks a sheet's column headers before adding data, so new rows line up with your existing structure.
How it works
Quin has access to two types of Google Sheets tools.
Spreadsheet tools — Quin can find spreadsheets, retrieve their worksheets and column headers, and add a new column.
Row tools — Quin can search and filter rows, retrieve, create, update, and delete them.
Troubleshooting
Quin can't find a spreadsheet I know exists
- Check that the spreadsheet is shared with the Quin integration in Google's connection settings
- Try giving Quin the exact spreadsheet name
- Verify the integration is still connected in Settings > Integrations
Quin isn't updating the right row or column
- Tell Quin the exact column header or a value that uniquely identifies the row
- If the sheet has many worksheets, specify which tab you mean
- Try rephrasing your request with more detail if Quin can't match the right row
Updates aren't appearing in the spreadsheet
- Refresh the spreadsheet to see the latest changes
- Confirm the integration shows as connected in Settings > Integrations
- Check that the spreadsheet you're working with is shared with the Quin integration
