Close

Connect Close to Quin for automatic lead updates, meeting notes, task creation, and pipeline tracking. Keep your CRM current without manual data entry.

Connect Close to Quin to automatically log meeting notes, create tasks, and update leads after every conversation. Quin works inside Close's lead-centric data model, so notes, contacts, opportunities, and tasks all land on the right lead record without manual entry.

Before you begin

You need an active Close account with permission to connect integrations. Confirm with your Close admin if you're unsure about your access level.

How to set it up

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Click Add Integration
  3. Select Close from the list
  4. Enter your Close API key when prompted and click Connect
  5. Confirm the connection is active — Close will appear as connected on your Integrations page

To find your Close API key, log in to Close, go to Settings > API Keys, and generate or copy an existing key.

What to expect

After connecting, Quin can read and write across your Close account. When you mention a lead or contact in chat, Quin locates the matching record and updates it with your notes. Follow-up tasks you create through Quin are added directly to the relevant lead. You can ask Quin questions like "What's the status of the Acme deal?" and get current information from Close without opening the app. Quin also supports creating new leads and contacts, updating opportunity status between active, won, and lost, and searching across your pipeline by name, company, or email.

How it works

Close organizes data around leads — contacts, opportunities, tasks, and notes all attach to a lead record. Quin follows the same structure, so every update lands in the right place.

Meeting notes — After a meeting, Quin attaches the summary and key points to the matching lead record in Close.

Tasks — Commitments captured during conversations become tasks on the relevant lead, with due dates and assignees where applicable.

Leads and contacts — Quin can search, create, and update lead and contact records. Contact searches support name, email, and lead ID filters.

Opportunities — Quin can search, create, and update deals, including filtering by status (active, won, or lost) and lead.

Safe deletions — Any delete action requires explicit confirmation before Quin proceeds.

Managing the integration

To disconnect Close CRM:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Find the Close integration
  3. Click Disconnect and confirm

Disconnecting stops all future syncing. Existing data in Close remains unchanged.

Troubleshooting

Quin can't find a lead or contact I know exists in Close

  • Check that the name, email, or company matches what's in Close
  • Try searching by email address instead of name
  • Confirm the integration still shows as connected in Settings > Integrations

Meeting notes aren't appearing on lead records

  • Verify the integration is active in your Settings
  • Make sure you referenced the lead name or contact during the conversation
  • Confirm your Close API key has write permissions

Updates appear in Quin but not in Close

  • Refresh your Close page to load the latest changes
  • Check that your API key is still valid in Close under Settings > API Keys
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration

I'm getting an authorization error when connecting

  • Confirm you're using a valid Close API key with appropriate permissions
  • Generate a new API key in Close and reconnect using the updated credentials
